Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience to take a class?
Not at all. Our Intro to Flameworking class is specifically designed for complete beginners. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to learn. Our instructors walk you through every step from torch safety to your first finished piece.
What should I wear to class?
Wear natural fibers (cotton, denim, wool) and closed-toe shoes. Avoid synthetic fabrics like polyester, nylon, or rayon β€” these can be hazardous near open flame. We provide protective eyewear and any additional safety equipment. Long hair should be tied back.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least one week in advance, especially for weekend sessions and Date Night Glass, which fill quickly. Private lessons and group bookings of six or more should be arranged at least two weeks ahead. We do occasionally have same-week availability β€” contact us directly to check.
Is there a cancellation or rescheduling policy?
Cancellations made more than 72 hours before your scheduled session receive a full refund or credit toward a future class. Cancellations within 72 hours are eligible for credit only. No-shows are non-refundable. We are happy to reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice.
Are classes suitable for children?
Youth programming through High Desert Creative Arts is available for students aged 12 and up with an accompanying adult. Standard public classes are designed for adults (18+). Contact us to discuss school partnership programs, field trip arrangements, or supervised youth sessions.
Can I commission a custom piece without taking a class?
Absolutely. Commissions are handled separately from class bookings. Visit our Contact page or use the booking form above and select "Custom Commission." We'll schedule a consultation to discuss your vision, timeline, and pricing.
